Formed in 1993 by Simon Jevons and Finnian Brown, Insight Services has grown from a start up cleaning business to one of the largest privately owned cleaning & facilities companies in the East and West Midlands.
Cleaning remains the core service offered today, but over the years a number of complementary services have been added. Customers now enjoy access to a comprehensive portfolio that includes full washroom provision, carpet & hard floor cleaning and high level cleaning, as well as manguarding security and grounds maintenance.
Growth has come through reputation and recommendation. From its beginnings in Birmingham the business has expanded to cover the East and West Midlands. The Head Office is in Meriden, close to Birmingham Airport, with local offices in Coventry and Nottingham/Derby. Insight now looks after over 200 customers and employs in excess of 500 operatives. Geographical coverage is organised so that customers always deal with a local manager, whatever part of the Midlands you are based in.

The pressures and demands of running a business day to day often mean that the softer side of life gets forgotten about. Insight is a proud supporter of the Royal British Legion. Staff are given time off to run a collection station and in the 2016 Poppy Appeal raised in excess of £4,000. A charity day is run from our Head Office in August each year, raising over £2,000 in 2016. Both directors are mentors for The Prince’s Trust, and have helped many young start up businesses over the last 10 years.

The lynchpin of the entire organisation. Enjoys all sports including rugby, tennis, skiing, and golf. Tries his best at yoga. Fond of fine wine.
Looks after the office and half of the Birmingham operations. Very keen netball player and is an active member of the local Lions charity. Has been with the company for twenty years and enjoyed every minute.
Jane runs the Coventry and South Warwickshire operations, looking after Ann and Sue. Has the laziest dog in the world and has recently become a grandmother. Single-handedly ensures ongoing profitability of Nicorettes Corporation.
Responsible for the operations in Nottingham, Derby and half of Birmingham. Very keen on keeping fit classes and snowboarding. Known to be fond of orange marmalade.
The Admin and Finance girls regularly do the work of around six people. The Busy Bees are perpetual motion personified. Both are quiet, but suspected of being dark horses.
Bears no resemblance whatsoever to Family Guy. Steve “the boomerang” makes up half of our sales team and has been with us since 2002. A keen golfer and football guru, he can’t resist the occasional flutter.
A recent recruit to the sales team, looking after the Nottingham and Derby area. Tash is a devoted mother of two, and spends most of her spare time with them. Born in Yorkshire, she tolerates us “southern softies.”
Majella looks after our customers in the Nottingham and Derby area. Married to a fireman, restores old furniture, and cannot resist a learning course or a chance of a qualification.
One of our very best contracts managers, Lynn joined us in 2001. Massive Baggies fan and classy darts player, she enjoys all sports. Had to give up netball, but still enjoys socialising. Encyclopaedic knowledge of sixties music.
Often dresses as a grandmother-in-a-nightie-escaped-from-the-care-home look.
